About Me

I’m Garet Sejkora.

29 years old.

Bodybuilder.

I didn’t start out loving the gym.

I actually hated it most of my life. To me, the gym was just a tool. Something you would use to get better at sports. BMX racing. Football. Motocross. That’s where my passion was.

Then an injury changed everything.

I ruptured a disc and ended up needing my back fused. Racing was over. I entered the workforce and felt completely dissatisfied with how I felt in my body. I knew the results I wanted, physically and mentally, were only going to come from the gym.

One problem.

I hated the gym.

So instead of forcing motivation, I went small and rewired the story.

Ten minutes a day. That was it.

And every rep, instead of saying “I hate this,” I told myself, “I love this” or “I love being in the gym” even when I didn’t believe it.

Over time, something clicked.

As results started to show, the resistance faded. The gym stopped feeling like punishment and started feeling like progress. For the first time in my life, I genuinely enjoyed it.

I believe this works for anyone.

You don’t need to love the gym to start.

You just need to change the story you tell yourself while you’re there.

Making the gym fun!
